Italian Sausage and Parmesan Quiche
Easter is in only three days, and we have one more recipe for all of you that is perfect for brunch or dinner! This Italian Sausage and Parmesan quiche is savory, extremely flavorful, and delicious.
¾ lb Italian Sausage (sweet or spicy)
2/3 cup low-fat ricotta cheese
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
freshly ground black pepper
3 tbsp finely chopped parsley
¾ cup low fat milk
¾ cup half and half
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp flour
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
1 prepared pie crust
Press prepared pie crust into a nine-inch round baking dish.
Remove sausage meat from casing. Break into small pieces and saute until cooked, and drain. Stir in both ricotta and parmesan cheeses, pepper, and parsley.
Whisk all other ingredients together and until well blended. Add sausage mixture to whisked wet ingredients and stir together. Pour into pie crust and bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes until puffed and brown.
This quiche is not only delicious for brunch with a side of fruit and cup of coffee, but also for dinner with a green salad and glass of wine!
